Italian born and former racer, I enjoy introducing Canadians to the joys of cycling in Italy. I offer several tours yearly, and/or can customize one to suit the taste and level of specific groups.
After a freezing cold winter, Easter in Gabicce Mare is always a welcome relief, cycling through beautiful countryside and enjoying all the amenities of this welcoming seaside village has been a favourite since 1995! In 1999, I organized my first trip to Sardegna, where terrific cycling is complemented by fun in the sun at an all-inclusive beach resort ideal for the whole family. And in September of 2003, I hosted the first trip to Sicily, another Mediterranean jewel where time has stood still, and the locals are as warm as the climate.
In May 2008, a group from Canadacyclesitaly were among of the 11,500 cyclists from all over the world who participated in a 130 km or 200 km event. Then they went to 2 stages of the Giro d'Italia, and had the option of joining the trip to Sardegna with wonderful cycling through some of the most picturesque locations on earth, and the usual first class accommodations and sumptuous meals. As they say, Canadians eat to live, while Italians live to eat! And on my tours you don't have to worry about anything but gobbling up the multi-course meals, beautiful scenery and local culture, because everything is included. I personally do my utmost so that every one is well taken care of.
In Sept 2013 you will have a chance to ride with a champion as eleven-time Canadian Champion and former World Champion Gordon Singleton will be joining us in Abruzzo.
This website will provide you with most of the practical information you will need about all the tours. But most of all, I hope it gives you a glimpse of the joy I get from bringing Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life together to cycle Italy!
Be sure to read the testimonials page, and feel free to contact me for more details.
I look forward to having a little espresso, or perhaps a shot of grappa, on a mountaintop castle with you soon.
